My interest in photography began with physical prints on walls and in books, so I’m always looking for interesting ways to get images on paper or something else you can hold. This collections represent my foray into intaglio printing.

I start by making digital layouts in Photoshop. Then in the darkroom, I make plates of the images on steel sheets covered in photopolymer. On plastic sheets, I paint the colored backgrounds using paints, charcoal, and other water-soluble pigments.

Next, I hand-crank the plates through an etching press to transfer the images to paper.
